FEES & INSURANCE INFORMATION
At Jacksonville Therapy, we’ve chosen this private-pay model intentionally because it offers greater privacy, flexibility, and a higher standard of care for our clients. Below, you’ll find more details on why this approach might be the right fit for you.
How Does Private-Pay Counseling Work? Private-pay counseling means you pay directly for your sessions, bypassing insurance entirely. This model offers several important advantages:
You control your treatment without insurance limitations
You can still request out of network reimbursement from your provider
No required diagnosis. Your therapist doesn’t need to label you with a mental health disorder just to initiate treatment
Access to a broader range of therapeutic modalities beyond those limited by insurance coverage
Greater privacy as your personal information and treatment details are not shared with insurance companies
Flexible scheduling so you and your therapist decide what frequency and duration work best, not your insurance provider
Supports a wide range of services, including those frequently excluded or limited by insurance coverage (e.g., couples therapy, coaching, and personal growth work)
Continuity of care means you don’t risk losing access if your insurance plan changes
Sessions are $150 each, with clear, upfront pricing and no surprise bills
Private-pay therapy often provides greater overall value by eliminating co-pays, deductibles, session caps, and the restrictive limitations commonly imposed by insurance plans.
